I have just learned of Francis's passing. She was my mother, Ellen Ewell Chandler's, very close friend from their days at Seton High School. She was so dear to my mom and our family and we all loved her sense of humor. Tommy, we are thinking of you and so very sorry for your loss. Much love, Mary Ellen

Sister Vincentia was so wonderful to my daughter and me when Olivia attended Elizabeth Seton High School. She was a wonderful person, who will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace dear Sister Vincentia.

How fortunate am I to have had Frances as my cousin! I will miss her selflessness, energy, and Christmas newsletters. Rest in peace.

As an administrator for the Province, Sr. Vincentia was a familiar figure at St. Dominic School during my years there as a teacher. She always had a positive message for our teachers and students. May she rest in peace.

Sr. Vincentia was principal at the time I attended Elizabeth Seton HS in Bladensburg, MD. She was a gracious and effective leader who was universally loved. She was a wonderful human being and I am honored to have known her in my lifetime. May perpetual light shine upon her and may her immortal and very faithful soul rest in peace.

It is very important in life for children to be made to feel special. At a very early age I was given the title that made me feel special. The title is Frances's godchild. That title and the wonderful family of which we both are members always made me feel very special. I learned at a very early age to serve God's very special children, the poor. I dedicated my entire legal career serving the poor as a legal aid lawyer. When I retired, the local San Antonio paper published an article labeling me the poor man's lawyer. That title directly flows from my first title as Frances's Godchild. I marvel at the thousands of children that also have a very special title. The title is Frances's student. Her inimitable Smile now shines in heaven and in our hearts forever.

Sr. Vincentia was my first grade teacher at St. Catherine Laboure' in Wheaton, Md from '55-'56. I have fond memories of her. She got me off on the right foot for a great Catholic education all the way through college. May Sister Vincentia rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Sister Vincentia was principal of Our Lady of Peace School in Canton, Ohio when I entered first grade in 1965. I remember Sister as a very loving and caring person. She was my first experience with the Daughters of Charity who have inspired me throughout my entire life. The Daughters inspired me to discern vocation to religious life and ultimately to become an educator.
