Kathy Tyler

           Elizabeth Kathleen “Kathy” Tyler, 77, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the Gettysburg Center in Pennsylvania. Born on July 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Lee Howard and Madeline Edith Hite. She was the loving wife to the late George Tyler, who passed in 2015.

            Kathy was a bus aide for Baltimore County Public Schools. She enjoyed dancing, drinking Coca-Cola, having her kids take her on rides in the car, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Georgia Thompson and husband Russell of MN, Madaline Kipps and husband Lester of Gettysburg, PA, and son John Tyler and wife Nichole of Taneytown; grandchildren Michael Tyler, Ray Tyler, Michelle Keyton, Lester Kipps III, Nicole Kipps, Hannah Kipps, Tyler Murray, Fran Thompson, Steve Thompson, Josh Tyler, Erika Tyler, and Khloe Tyler; great-grandchildren Keira Murray, Devyn Tyler, Hailey Tyler, Peyton Tyler, Graysen McLane, Brayden Keyton, Jocelyn Keyton, and Quinn Tyler; and son-in-law Michael Tyler. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Edith Tyler; and her four siblings, Donald, Frankie, Albert, and Edith.

            The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. following the visitation, with Pastor David Meador officiating.
