Helen Wimert

Helen Virginia (Reaver) Wimert, 99, of Taneytown, MD died Thursday June  2, 2022, at The Dove House in Westminster, MD after a brief illness.  Born March 28, 1923 in Carroll County, she was the last surviving child of the late Ervin Grover and Ida Grace (Sprankle) Reaver.   She was the loving & devoted wife of the late Jesse Willard Wimert to whom she was married for 41 years.
Helen was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was a longtime member of Piney Creek Presbyterian Church where she served as church treasurer for 25 years.

Helen was predeceased by her brothers Sheridan Eugene Reaver and Harry Glenn Reaver, and sisters, Dorothy M Wentz and Mary Alice Wetzel.  She is survived by  numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 13 at Piney Creek Presbyterian Church, 4472 Harney Rd, Taneytown, MD with the Rev. H. Paul Matthews, III officiating.  Interment will follow in Piney Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
