Emily Jane Collins

Emily Jane Collins, 79, of Finksburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022.  Born November 25, 1942 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Gill and Lottie Mae Gill, nee Barnes.  She was the beloved wife of Jerry Donald Collins, her husband of 59 years; devoted mother of her two sons Brian K. Collins and his wife Kelly of Westminster and Darren T. Collins and his wife Karen of Newton, NC; cherished sister of Charlotte Collins, Nancy Myers, Sally Phillips, and Edward Gill; loving “Grammy” of Noah, Daniel, Hailey, and Nick Collins.  She was predeceased by her brothers Eugene and Charles Gill. 

Emily worked for many years as an assistant for an Ophthalmologist.  In her spare time, she enjoyed flowers and walking.

The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Carrollton Church of God, 2151 Bethel Road, Finksburg (21048), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor the Rev. David L. Meador Officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
