Russell Boone

            Russell Eugene Boone, 71, of Pleasant Valley, MD, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at home.

          Born on October 8, 1946 in Reese, MD, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Dorothy (Adams) Boone.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nancy L. (Thomas) Boone.  They would have been married 38 years on this Valentine’s Day.

          Russell was a master auto mechanic and retired after working for 51 years.  He enjoyed camping and watching NASCAR.  He was a member of the Littlestown Eagles.

          Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Brian Boone of Ohio and Scott Boone of Westminster; daughter, Bobbie Carhart of Finksburg; grandchildren, Bret Carhart, Kurtis and Luke Boone; sisters, Lillian Cornett of Westminster and Roxanne Barrett of FL; brothers, Ronald Boone of Westminster, William Boone of Taneytown, and Robert Boone of Littlestown; and many nieces and nephews.

          He was predeceased by a son, Russell “R.J.” Boone, Jr. in 2009 and by brothers, Sonny and Roger Boone.

          A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Rev. Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating.  Burial will follow in the John Luther Miller Memorial Cemetery in Westminster.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18th from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
