Rosella (Fuss) Cregger

Rosella Reaver Cregger, 87, of Emmitsburg, MD died peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at her son’s residence in Fairfield, PA.  Born March 18, 1930 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the Late Elmer and Ethel (Reaver) Fuss.  She was the wife of the late Wayne Cregger, to whom she was married for 61 years.

Rosella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She loved going to church and attended worship over the years at Foursquare Gospel Church in Gettysburg, PA, Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown, PA, and most recently, at Mountain View Ministries in Thurmont, MD.  She taught children’s Sunday School and participated in women’s ministries throughout the years, and enjoyed fellowship and activities at the Taneytown Senior Center.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

She is survived by four sons, Carl Cregger and wife Linda of Wooster, OH, Harold Cregger and wife Cindy of Fairfield, PA, Brad Cregger and wife Jerrie of Spring Grove, PA, and Alvin Cregger and wife Sherry of Emmitsburg, MD; brothers, the Rev. Lloyd Fuss and wife Gwen of Frederick, MD, and Robert Fuss and wife Donna of Virginia Beach, VA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Melvin Cregger and a granddaughter, Melanie Kemp.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.   A memorial service to celebrate Rosella’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19th at Mountain View Ministries, 103 Apples Church Rd., Thurmont, MD with her brother, the Rev. Lloyd Fuss, and her pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey Shaw officiating.  Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rosella’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
