To a dear friend and her family,
As I think back over the many years we have been friends and the childhood memories we have made, I smile. Vanessa, your mom was always smiling when I would see her. She always thought of how fun it would be to all get time together in our busy adult lives to recapture the youthful giggles of yesteryear. It was always a pleasure to stop and take 5 min (or sometimes even 30 minutes to chat when we ran into each other at various Gettysburg places. I always called her mom and she knew that we would remain friends a lifetime.
Having these times to reflect on from those many sleepovers when we were in school to the adult realities of living in different cities but making the time for one another has always been awesome.
Your mom loved you with all her heart and...her heart was big. Her outlook on life was sweet and although many trials occurred for her she came out a stronger and always loving person to be inspired from.
May she rest in peace, Healed from the wounds of time and finally not have to fight off illness any longer.
Thank you, Miss Pat (aka:Mom) for all the sparkles in your eyes of true love and joy you showered upon those who got to know you. Gettysburg misses you but you will live on in many hearts.
I love you -
Melany Meadows-LaRochelle
