Louis Smallwood III Obituary

          Louis Ausben “Buddy” Smallwood III, 45, of Springfield, WV and formerly of Taneytown, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Dayton, OH.  Born July 27, 1973 in Laurel, MD, he was the son of June King of Springfield, WV and the late Louis Ausben Smallwood, Jr.

          Buddy was a plumber and truck driver.  He was formerly employed by JJ Gartland Plumbing in Taylorsville and Coyle Trucking in Frederick.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved riding his motorcycle.  He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

          Surviving, in addition to his mother June, are daughters, Tia E. Smallwood and fiancé CJ Leekins of Hagerstown and Cheyenne B. Smallwood and boyfriend Steven Honeycutt of Taneytown; son, Michael A. Smallwood and girlfriend Jessica Hall of Taneytown; sisters, Frances Smallwood of WV and Sheila Ferguson; as well as an aunt, an uncle and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is also remembered by his former wife, Emily Smallwood of Taneytown.

          A memorial service will be announced at a future date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.

          Memorial contributions in Buddy’s name to help defray final expenses may be made to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD  21787.
