Frieda L. Cronhardt, 81, resident of the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born April 22, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. Cronhardt, Sr. and Frieda (Sauter) Cronhardt.
Frieda graduated from Hood College in Frederick with a Master’s Degree in social work and worked for most of her career as a social worker in Carroll County for the State of MD. She was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a 1st Lieutenant. She was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church. She was a cat lover and avid reader.
Surviving are her brother, Henry A. Cronhardt, Jr. and wife Margaret of Cockeysville; nephew, Paul Cronhardt and wife Margaret of Columbia; niece, Rachael Cordom and husband Christopher of Potomac; great-nieces, Megan and Lauren Cronhardt, and Alexandra Cordom.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Westminster Cemetery with Rev. Malcolm Stranathan officiating.
