David Joseph Eskenazi, 70, of Frederick, MD died peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Kline Hospice House in Mt.           Dave was a graduate of Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA and George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.  He became a Contracts Management Officer for the United States Public Health Service.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Midway during the Vietnam War.  Dave enjoyed traveling, gardening, collecting sports memorabilia, working Sudoku puzzles, sharing trivia about sports, world geography and politics, and spending time with family and friends at social occasions.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Bonnie, are his three daughters, Karen Eskenazi of Boston, MA, Deborah Eskenazi-Perez and husband Manuel Perez Fernandez Baca of Rockville, MD, and Teresa Grimes of Frederick; grandchildren, Lily Grimes and Ethan David Perez Eskenazi; sisters, Leah Eskenazi and husband Darrell Murray of CA, and Janet Eskenazi and husband Joseph Ventimiglia of CA; nephew, Benjamin Murray of CA; special aunt, Vicki Rothchild of CA; cousins, Sharon Kale and husband Harvey of CA, Linda Ollis and husband Steve of OR and Alan Rothchild of CA; and special friends, Bruce and Teresa Anthony and Jim Gildea, all of CA.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dave’s name may be made to the children’s charity of one’s choice.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
