Bradley Zebal Obituary

Bradley H. Zebal, 72, of Westminster, MD died peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster after a 5 year battle with cancer.  Born October 16, 1945 in Vicksburg, MS, he was the son of the late George and Patricia (Thurber) Zebal.  He was the husband of Sandra (Pach) Zebal, to whom he was married for 50 years.

Bradley’s parents traveled the country over the years and ultimately settled in Southern California.  He graduated from Stanford University in 1967 with a B.A. in Psychology.  He married Sandra Eunice Pach, his college sweetheart, in June of 1967.  Bradley was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Atlantic Fleet as a Line Officer in Communications and Operations.  After moving to Baltimore, MD, he attended University of Maryland, Baltimore, where he earned his MSW in Clinical Social Work.  Over the years, his career led him to work in the fields of Counseling, Psychotherapy, Health Project Administration, and Mental Health Management.  He received his MBA in Marketing/Information Systems from University of Maryland, College Park in 1987.  Bradley retired from Kaiser Permanente in Rockville, MD, having served as Director, E-Clinical Services.

Bradley had a strong love of music.  From late 60s concerts at The Fillmore in San Francisco to the recent Steely Dan concert at Pier 6 in Baltimore, music was always a cornerstone of his life.  He was accomplished at guitar and banjo, and was a lover of Rock, Bluegrass, and Jazz.

He was passionate about appreciating nature, culture, history and innovative technology.  He was an active participant and annual volunteer at Common Ground on the Hill, a music conference and festival in Westminster, MD.  He was a one-of-a-kind, honest, devoted man who loved his family and appreciated all the best life has to offer.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Sandra, are sons, Christopher Zebal and wife Jennifer of Frederick, MD and Timothy Zebal of Oakland, CA; brother, Ronald Zebal of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia Zebal; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life event will be announced at a future date, yet to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bradley’s name may be made to Common Ground on the Hill, c/o McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157 or http://www.commongroundonthehill.org/donate.html.  Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster, MD.
