Wilbur Stafford Stonesifer, 52, of Taneytown, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at his home.  Born November 24, 1964 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Elwood and Joyce (Eaton) Stonesifer.  He was the devoted husband of the late Tamara (Smith) Stonesifer.  They were married for 25 years.

 Wilbur was an estimator for Stambaugh’s in Union Bridge for many years.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and canoeing on the Monocacy River.  He loved having a good time with his friends and family. 

Surviving are daughter Samantha Howard and husband Shawn of Westminster; son, Joshua Stonesifer and wife Jennifer of Hanover, PA; sister, Deborah Roberts and husband Joseph of Taneytown; and grandchildren, Robert and Riley Stonesifer, and Camden and Jason Howard.

The family will receive friends for visitation and viewing 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.  Funeral services will be private.
