Jimmy Charles Lescalleet, 82, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at The Ballenger Creek Center in Frederick.  Born May 13, 1935 in Detour, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas Earle and Lena Marguerite (Holt) Lescalleet.

        Jimmy was a Maintenance Mechanic for Lion Brothers in Taneytown for many years.  He was also a farmer.  He enjoyed gardening, taking walks, fabricating tools and equipment, and spending time with his family.

        Surviving are daughter, Diane Koons of Taneytown; step-son, Leroy Moran and wife Mary of Hanover, PA; sister, Betty Moser of New Midway; granddaughters, Michele Eyler and husband Bruce of Taneytown, Emily Smallwood of Taneytown, Ivy Smith and husband Michael of Westminster, and Anna Koons and boyfriend Matthew Fuksa of New Windsor; great-grandchildren, Tia, Cheyenne, and Michael Smallwood, Erika and Amber Eyler, and Mitchell and Jonathan Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by daughter, Melissa Lescalleet; 5 brothers and a sister; and son-in-law, Michael Koons.

        A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
