Irene Leppo Bush, 99, of Finksburg, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 9, 1917 in Patapsco, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Albert and Alice Ann (Arbaugh) Leppo, Sr.  She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Bush. They were married for 61 ½ years.

        Irene was employed by J.C. Penny’s for 20 years and previously by Greiff’s Sewing Factory in Westminster. She was a life-long member of Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg.  Irene’s parents carried her into the church when she was two weeks old and she remained faithful and active throughout her entire life. She loved attending Sunday School and worship, and was formerly active in the Ladies Aid Society.  Irene was a Charter Member of the Reese Fire Company Auxiliary.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, including Sunday lunches and Wednesday dinners, going to McDonald’s with her great-grandchildren, and Ocean City vacations with her grandchildren.

        Surviving are daughter Charlene Winebrunner and husband Bill of Finksburg; sister, Beulah Miller of Westminster; brother, Clarence Leppo, Jr. of Union Bridge; grandson, Mark Winebrunner and wife Meredith of Finksburg; granddaughter, Michele Clark and husband Tony of Westminster; great-grandchildren Ryley, Ryan, Keegan, and Raegan; and many nieces and nephews. Irene is also remembered by Jesse Barnes of Finksburg, who was like a grandson to her, along with his wife Melissa and their children Piper and Jesse. Irene was predeceased by brother, Wilson Leppo and sisters, Louise Knouse and Olive Dull.

          A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD with Pastor Dave Meador officiating.  Burial will follow at Carrollton Church of God Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Carrollton Church of God, 1901 Carrollton Rd., Finksburg, MD, 21048.
