Helen Elizabeth Woods, 84, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center in Hanover.  Born August 7, 1932 in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Carroll and Beulah (Stonesifer) Phillips.  She was the wife of the late Robert O. Woods.

Helen was a housewife.  She was a member of Harvest Time Temple Church in Hanover.  She loved attending church services and enjoyed collecting figurines and pictures of cardinals.

She is survived by step-son, Robert Woods and wife Diane of Michigan, and their sons, Christopher Woods and wife Trish, and Patrick Woods; brother, Fred Phillips, Sr. and wife Judy of Williamsport, MD; late nephew, Fred Jr.'s wife, Gail Phillips, of Hagerstown, MD; nephew, Terry Phillips, Sr. and wife Amber of Williamsport, MD; great-nephews, Terry Phillips, Jr. and Noah Phillips; and great-niece, Lily Phillips.  She was predeceased by nephew, Fred Phillips, Jr.  Helen is also remembered by special friend, Norman Wantz. 

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, with Pastor Fred Mummert officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.
